Have you ever opened a folder full of “FINAL_FINAL.docx” files and wondered which one was actually final? Lost track of which version of a dataset you were using? Then this workshop is for you. Designed for graduate students, early-career researchers, and faculty, the session introduces practical strategies for managing projects efficiently and reproducibly. We will cover the full workflow, from planning and documentation to file organization, variable naming, verification, and preservation, with an emphasis on reproducibility. In a hands-on walkthrough, participants will set up a project folder and do file to practice structuring code and documentation for clarity and replicability. You will leave with concrete tools to streamline your research, reduce errors, and make your work more sustainable. Participants will need to bring their own laptop for the hands-on portion of the workshop.
Meghan Rogers, assistant professor in Sociology and Criminology, will run the workshop.
